Pastors Jim & Mindy Cernero
Pastor Jim received the call of God at the age of 12 when he was baptized in the Holy Spirit during a revival at his home church in Nutley, New Jersey. In pursuit of the call, and having a desire to prepare for it, he attended Zion Bible Institute (1972 - 1975) and then later Northwest College of the Assemblies of God (1979 - 1981) where he completed his Bachelor Degrees in Music and in Bible Literature.

While serving as Associate Pastor / Music Minister in Bethel Church of San Jose, CA, he met and soon married Melinda (Mindy) Primrose in July of 1985. In November of 1987, while seeking the Lord's direction for their lives and ministries, through a series of miraculous circumstances, they were asked to join the Pastoral staff of Orlando Christian Center, Orlando, Florida, Pastored by Benny & Suzanne Hinn. In September of 1988, the Lord blessed them with a son, Daniel James Cernero. He is a gift from the Lord and the joy of their lives who is married to their wonderful daughter-in-love, Linsey since June of 2013.
It became apparent, soon after joining the staff of O.C.C., that the call was not only for the church but also to help Pastor Benny fulfill his call as a worldwide healing evangelist. In 1990, the crusades began and grew to thousands of people each month both in the U.S. and Internationally. What a joy to have witnessed untold thousands receive Christ as Savior and be healed by the power of God.

In 2003, Pastor Jim felt led to pray 'the prayer of Jabez' found in 1 Chronicles 4:10 sensing that the Lord wanted to expand and enlarge the scope of his ministry. The fulfillment of that prayer came in January of 2010 during a time of prayer and fasting, when he heard the Lord say "This Is Your Time!" and knew that the Lord would soon launch him into his own revivalist, healing and worship ministry.

For the past 14 years now, he has traveled around the world and in the U.S. with Mindy often at his side, they have seen many saved, healed and delivered by the power of God. As the gifts of the Spirit have been in operation, tumors have disappeared, broken backs have been healed, arthritis, fibromyalgia, blinded eyes have been opened, deaf ears unstopped and many have received miracles too numerous to count. All glory and honor to Jesus Christ the Savior, Healer and Deliverer!

Together, they have become an anointed ministry couple and God is using them to touch many with the gospel.
​
In addition, Pastor Jim is a composer, writing worship songs that have been sung around the world, and that have been sung by several Christian Artists and an Author of the book, The Blessing.
Our
Church
Although Certain Sound Church International is the first church that Pastor Jim and Mindy have founded and are the Senior Pastors of, they have been in Pastoral Ministry for 40-plus years serving in large churches as Associate Pastors where they have had hundreds of congregants under their pastoral care and guidance.

After being led by the Holy Spirit to move to Texas from California, they were asked to start a Bible Study in their home in Jarrell by a group of friends and acquaintances. The Bible study went on for several weeks studying the Book of Galatians. As the Bible Study was coming to a close, the desire for a church was expressed and Pastor Jim and Mindy were urged to be the Pastors. This coincided with their pastoral hearts and vision and so Certain Sound Church International was launched in 2018.

For the first year, they met in a small room in a strip mall in Jarrell, TX on Saturday evenings as Pastor Jim was (still is) a Revivalist, ministering in churches both in the U.S. and Internationally. As the church began to grow, and it became apparent that most were coming from the Round Rock, Georgetown and even Austin area, Pastor Jim and Mindy began praying for and searching for a more central location for the church.

One day, while driving past what was then called 'City Lights Theater' in Georgetown, now called 'Film Alley,' Pastor Jim was impressed by the Holy Spirit to inquire as to whether they would be willing to rent out one of the Theaters for a Sunday morning service. He discovered that there were already two churches meeting in the theater on Sundays and one was about to leave making room for CSCI. The first Sunday service and service in the Theater was held at the beginning of January of 2019.

Two years ago, while driving to the church, the Holy Spirit spoke to Pastor Jim and said "I'm sending your 'Bezalel' and Oholiab! Bezalel and Oholiab were the two men, filled with the Holy Spirit that the Lord sent to Moses to help build the Tabernacle. Since then, the Lord has done just that and we are so blessed by all that HE is doing. We are grateful to the Lord for all the precious people who have become a part of the church and who now faithfully serve in various capacities in the church from equipment set up and tear down, to audio / video and media, to Eldership, to children's ministry.

We are believing for our own building one day and know that in God's timing, it will happen.
Many are healed and delivered regularly at CSCI as we believe that the gifts of the Spirit did not end with the Book of Acts but continue today in the Name of Jesus. At the formation stage of the church, Pastor Jim felt impressed to add the word 'international' to the church's title as the scope of his ministry has reached the nations for many years. Regularly, Certain Sound Church International financially supports ministries to Pakistan, seeing hundreds saved and healed, as well as ministries that are impacting Africa, The Middle East and around the world. To God be the glory for all that HE has done.
